In Spring 2025, I took Rendering for the Interior, a course focused on hand rendering interiors and furniture. Throughout the quarter, we created floor plans, elevations, perspectives, and detailed views completely by hand. We worked with pen and ink, colored pencil, and markers to bring our drawings to life.

A big focus of the class was learning how to realistically show different materials such as wood, stone, glass, and fabric through texture, shading, and line weight. We also spent time drawing furniture and interior details to better understand proportion and scale. This course strengthened my hand drafting skills and helped me become more confident in clearly communicating a space without relying on software.
